Overview: Not-for-profit real estate trade association seeks an experienced candidate with strong analytic, quantitative, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills for a position as Data Services Director. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and should also have experience in data collection and analysis. Knowledge of RETS and current RLS/MLS service data feed methods is essential along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with real estate database structure and use. Prior experience with managing teams is required.
The Ideal Candidate will be:
- A highly capable manager with very strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Able to analyze and interpret large amounts of data
- Knowledgeable in all current listing services data feed methods
- Able to work independently under minimal supervision
- Proficient with databases and all Microsoft Office products
Responsibilities
- Daily review of Bridge feeds statistics and usage reports to look for any feed anomalies
- Create data feeds using Bridge interactive tool from REBNY Listing Service contracts
- Supervise Data Services staff to ensure all issue tickets are reviewed, answered and brought to resolution
- Review and provide supporting documents to Compliance Department on data misuse complaints
- Request site compliance reports from vendor for any contracted site using RLS data as needed
- Report REBNY Listing Service data violations to the Executive Director
- Work with REBNY Listing Service database vendor and DLA vendors on structure changes as required by the Board of Directors
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Public Policy, Real Estate Finance, or similar is required.Minimum 5 years of experience working with real estate databases.
