Position Overview

We are looking for a Project Manager who will provide coordination and oversight for large scale, multi-team, company projects from inception to completion.  Plans, directs, and coordinates project management activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and/or objectives of the projects are accomplished within the prescribed scope and funding parameters.  Incumbent will be responsible for overall accountability and management of quality time and budget of project deliverables.

 

The successful candidate will have an advance degree or equivalent and 9 or more years of related professional experience, with 4 – 6 years of project management experience in software technology industry preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Prior experience; effectively leading a project team to successful completion of project, encouraging collaboration, promoting the flow of information among all participants, and providing clear direction on how to meet project goals is preferred. PMI Certification preferred with thorough understanding of Project Management Methodologies & Techniques.  CSM/CSP Certification preferred with thorough understanding of SCRUM Agile and Lean/Kanban methodologies.  Knowledge and understanding of business, technological, political, social and competitive trends is needed.  Must have experience with office software used for analysis and presentations.   Knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Project is a must. Experience with a Kanban tool is a plus.  Background in Web/Mobile development is preferred. Strong track record of developing positive working relationships with staff, including those without direct reporting relationships, as well as with clients, is required.  Possess a solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
