Director of Application Development

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Application Development Director is responsible for leadership of a team producing a web-based real estate Multiple Listing Service system and web-accessible internal applications. The Director will work closely with other senior managers to help deliver the company’s technical vision and goals. Additionally, the Director will be responsible to develop work plans, establish technical objectives with input from both internal and external stakeholders, assign tasks, manage code standards, and ensure a consistent, high-quality release process. The Director will develop schedules, budgets, risk management plans, quality goals, and lead the team to successfully deliver them. They will both analyze the competition and listen to stakeholders – but think beyond that – when creating and maintaining a 3-5 year product plan, technology vision and strategy. They will report to the CEO and directly supervise and support a Development Manager and indirectly supervise a development team of seven.

The Director must have exceptional communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization. This includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.

The Director must be capable of contributing to the project as needed by developing in ASP.NET, C#, Microsoft SQL 2012, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, CSS, and must be experienced creating responsive web design.

Experience in the real estate industry is desirable, and candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

MLS PIN is a successful and financially stable for-profit company with an average turnover of less than 1%. Staff consists of 52 full-time employees. The company is located in Boston Metro-West, 40 miles from downtown Boston.

SALARY:

Salary offered will be commensurate with experience. Salary range: 120-160k, open to negotiation. MLS PIN offers a generous employee benefit program.
