Position Summary |
The Senior Project and Product Manager is responsible for planning and execution throughout our project and product lifecycles, ensuring alignment with the organization's business objectives. Responsibilities include the direction of member-facing products/systems and the ability to communicate and design integrations with and manage vendor relationships. This individual serves as a resource to the organization by creating and managing a project roadmap, ensuring that prioritization is impactful at every stage. This role provides management leadership with objectives, goals, and initiative implications regarding projects, products, development, and data. This individual works closely with the COO to plan, procure, and implement Products on behalf of the organization. The Senior Project and Product Manager will be outcome-driven and be able to partner and communicate with all FMLS departments.

Essential Job Functions |
- Manage activities related to projects as a leader and support company-wide strategic initiatives
- Identify, recommend, and support products and services to support FMLS
- Manages development on projects, ensuring that commitments are adequately planned, staffed, monitored, and reported
- Manage development sprints and authorize any development or coding changes to FMLS websites
- Manage the FMLS Real Estate Data Platform utilizing best industry practices for data distribution
- Establish appropriate service levels and the processes to ensure that KPIs get met
- Responsible for conducting various tests and quality assurance checks to verify the quality of completed projects and product releases/changes
- Provide final approval of all new releases, upgrades, or enhancements of member-facing products/systems and development releases
- Develop the project scope for any development or coding activities and inform the COO if contract staff are necessary to complete development projects on time
- Oversee product enhancement review and escalation for all requests on all products
- Manage new product releases throughout their lifecycle
- Manage issues and requirements tracking, data and analytics, and flow chart software
- Monitor systems to ensure compliance with FMLS data integrity business rules
- Maintain contact information and escalation procedures for all vendors that provide FMLS products and systems
- Establish standards for performance and monitor the performance of staff
- Foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability in the Project and Product department
- Primary contact for communication between vendors' technical team and FMLS to ensure issues get escalated expediently
- Communicate regularly with CEO and COO in addition to Key Training, Customer Support, Marketing, Engineering, and IT staff to make sure they are aware of outstanding issues, releases, or upgrades
- Notify FMLS staff, third-party technology vendors, and members, as necessary when RETS or data issues arise that impact delivery of FMLS Real Estate Data Content
- Follow QA best practices in testing on stage and pre-production environments for vendor upgrades and changes
- Form user and/or internal staff focus groups to assist in determining the priority of fixes and enhancements
- Conduct and facilitate meetings as necessary to obtain feedback about FMLS products and systems
- Collect and maintain input from members and internal staff requesting changes or improvements to any of the FMLS products
- Represent the company at member functions, national conferences, the Atlanta Realtor's Association & FMLS annual trade show, and other events.
- Participate in local and national Real Estate MLS industry organizations as directed and help with company best practices as needed, including review of CMLS best practices
- Maintain professionalism with vendors, customers, stakeholders, and staff at all times
- Ensure transparency and collaboration between the Project, Product, Engineering, and Data group and its business partners
- Perform as a team player who favors collaborative approaches when working with internal and external partners and can handle the unexpected and be flexible

Educational & Work Experience Requirements |
A minimum of a Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Must possess a moderate to advanced technical ability on a variety of current operating systems, mobile devices, and other technological applications
Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems
Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a team
Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track
Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience
Proven experience as a Product and Engineering Manager is preferred

Working Conditions |
This position is sedentary and may require long periods of looking at a computer screen
Some lifting may be needed, although infrequently

FLSA and Position Type |
This position is considered full-time, exempt FSLA status.
Reports to the COO
Generally the hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. There may be infrequent times when work needs to be performed at any point of the day or night.
