The San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR) is currently seeking a dynamic candidate to serve as the MLS Director. SABOR represents 11,000 REALTOR members and through its Board of Directors works to provide tools and services to be successful in the real estate industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of innovation, project management, and possess a customer-centric mindset.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Seeking out innovative ways for the MLS and related services to bring value to the members, and on the cutting edge of leading technology.
  • Serve as staff liaison for the MLS Committee and foster a good working relationship with the volunteer committee leadership.
  • Lead both Member Care Department and Service Center through their respective managers.
  • Consistently maintain MLS operations and policies for compliance and efficiencies.
  • Responsible for the successful day to day operations of the MLS including managing system operations, membership training and customer service.
  • In coordination with the Director of Technology assist in the vetting of technology vendors, software providers and proposed future projects and systems.
  • Work with the Communications Department and the REALTOR® Academy to provide members information on updates to system or training opportunities.  
  • Monitor and track IDX, VOW and syndication sites and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.
  • In concert with CEO and VP of Finance, assist in preparation of SABOR budget
  • Attend NAR, State Association, and other industry meetings as approved by CEO.
  • Manage the MLS in accordance with NAR’s policies and procedures, state/federal laws and the rules and regulations that govern the local MLS.

Preferred Credentials

  • Experience with use of technology based services preferably as they relate to the real estate industry.
  • Track record of problem-solving abilities and the deployment of system enhancements.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of commensurate related work experience.
  • Trade association/nonprofit experience working with volunteer leadership.
  • Strong communications skills with both internal and external stakeholders, setting expectations and delivering value.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Experience with management of teams.
  • Energetic with acute attention to details.
  • CMLX Certification preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of the Multiple Listings Service regarding governance and compliance.
