San Antonio Board of Realtors (SABOR) is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual to take on the role of MLS Director. As the MLS Director, you will be a key leader, providing direct oversight of the MLS department and fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Innovation and Leadership: Lead the MLS team in staying at the forefront of leading technology, seeking out innovative ways to keep the MLS and related services relevant and cutting-edge for our members
- MLS Committee Collaboration: Serve as a valuable staff liaison for the MLS Committee, building strong and collaborative relationships with volunteer committee leadership, and working together to shape the MLS's strategic direction
- Strategic Management: Inspire and motivate the MLS team, strategically positioning SABOR MLS through collaboration with executive leadership and effective oversight of MLS operations
- Compliance and Efficiency: Champion a culture of compliance and efficiency within the MLS team, ensuring consistent adherence to MLS processes and policies while optimizing performance
- Day-to-Day Operations: Take charge of the successful day-to-day operations of the MLS, fostering teamwork and collaboration among the team members, resolving technical issues, overseeing system operations, training, and delivering exceptional customer service
- Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, coordinate, and deliver approved MLS products and services to SABOR membership, driving teamwork to achieve project success
- Communication and Teamwork: Foster open communication and a collaborative spirit among cross-functional teams, sharing relevant information on systems, product & service updates, and training opportunities to support overall success
- Budget Preparation: Work in close partnership with the VP of Technology to prepare SABOR's budget, ensuring that financial resources are allocated appropriately to support MLS operations and team initiatives
- Industry Engagement: Represent SABOR at important industry meetings, such as CMLS, RESO, NAR, State Association gatherings, and other approved events, promoting relationships with industry peers
- Policy Advice: Demonstrate expert knowledge in MLS policies and procedures, state/federal laws, and the rules and regulations governing the local MLS, providing guidance to the team and fostering a culture of compliance
- IDX/RETS Expertise: Encourage knowledge sharing and teamwork within the MLS team, demonstrating proficiency in IDX/RETS programming to ensure seamless data integration
- Additional Responsibilities: Actively seek out opportunities to support SABOR's mission and enhance the growth of SABOR MLS, inspiring and empowering the team to achieve their goals
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in MLS operations and management, preferably in a leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of real estate technology and trends
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
