Position Summary

This position oversees the operations of the FMLS School of Real Estate which is established in 4 states: GA, AL, TN, and SC. This role will identify, assess, and create tailored training programs while utilizing various adult learning methods to enhance members' product utilization skills. The Training Manager will focus on orchestrating a transformative and innovative approach to Real Estate training and development while upholding the highest standards of excellence. Oversee a team of 5 team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for fostering an innovative training environment.
  • Ensure the Adult Learning Principles are applied in the development and implementation of all training programs.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive course materials for new products and ensure regular updates to training materials.
  • Oversee the Arello course certification and recertification process.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the FMLS School of Real Estate and the various state Real Estate Commissions.
  • Conduct the Train the Traner sessions and supervise the training of new trainers and Member Support representatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and quality of the training courses and trainers by gathering and analyzing class feedback and utilizing surveys.
  • Lead the enhancement and streamlining of the training system.
  • Master the knowledge of FMLS’s products to maintain accurate product information in the in-house platform.
  • Manage close relationships with other Training Managers, MLS leaders, and Association Leaders from partner organizations to collaborate on training needs and manage course credits.
  • Coordinate with vendors for sponsored webinars.
  • Compile and provide various training reports for monthly board meetings and senior leadership.
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the training team members, including class scheduling and special projects.
  • Responsible for mentoring and guiding trainers to enable growth and path to success.
  • Manage daily administration of direct reports such as PTO, timesheet approvals, performance reviews, etc.
  • Actively participate in company events.
  • Manage ad-hoc and special projects as necessary.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development or Instructional Design.
  • Min 5+ years managing training department.
  • Proven experience with course planning, development & implementation.
  • Extensive knowledge of teaching theory for creating instructional materials.
  • Instructional experience in a group setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at any level within the organization.
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives.
  • Real Estate experience is a plus.

Other Essential Job Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development or Instructional Design.
  • Min 5+ years managing training department.
  • Proven experience with course planning, development & implementation.
  • Extensive knowledge of teaching theory for creating instructional materials.
  • Instructional experience in a group setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
