Role Overview

We’re looking for a Ruby Developer to help keep our systems in tip-top shape. This means taking ownership of the performance and maintainability of multiple systems.

We’re a distributed team, so day to day work requires active participation on Slack and the ability to seek help when you’re stuck.

Must-haves

You demonstrate a positive can-do attitude.
You demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of:

• Ruby on Rails
• Ruby w/o Rails

You are familiar or willing to learn about:

• PostgreSQL
• MongoDB
• Elasticsearch
• GraphQL

You can handle making your own roadmap.
You have experience at all levels of web technologies from infrastructure and databases to APIs and frontend.
You demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
You demonstrate excellent communication skills from commit messages to group meetings and presentations.

Nice to haves

An interest in Real Estate technology and standards.
Digging into documentation doesn’t scare you. Experience with:

• Node.js
• TypeScript
• React

Big projects you’ll be working on

We have a large ETL system with hundreds of API connections producing millions of records that need to be processed quickly and accurately. It needs to remain rock solid all day every day. You will be helping us identify when things go haywire and collaborate on plans to improve it.

We have hundreds of thousands of customers that expect a quality product. You will help us identify common errors they receive and help us in creating an excellent experience for each and every user.
