Job Description

The Media Specialist is both a social media specialist and a videographer. The Media Specialist will be responsible for crafting and disseminating compelling messaging and multimedia content via digital platforms and social media, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. The Media Specialist will stay abreast of current trends in digital communications and advise the Marketing and Communications team on technologies, platforms, and specific campaign ideas. The Media Specialist will also provide support on a range of related communications tasks, including event support, on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities

Social Media

  • Plan, schedule, and publish all daily content across owned social media channels including but not limited to, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Build editorial calendars on a monthly basis to support a consistent presence on all channels
  • Manage content creation (e.g.: create Instagram stories) and organize all CRMLS content assets in our library
  • Handle administrative tasks associated with overall digital initiatives
  • Lead social listening – analyze data to provide team with key insights
  • Execute social media campaigns that support key launches, industry happenings and evergreen content through creative and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Conduct and manage ongoing influencer engagements, programs, & relationships
  • Stay up-to-date on new social media tools and best practices; monitor industry influencers and report on happenings
  • Evaluate emerging platforms & content trends to take our engagement strategy to the next level

Videography

  • Video record and edit footage in post-production for all CRMLS videos, including live interviews, instructional videos, marketing collateral, and more – visit our YouTube channel to get a sense of our video output
  • Operate various types of equipment in production and post-production of media projects
  • Ensure all equipment is stored properly, kept organized, and in working order

Requirements

  • At least 2-4 years of social media and/or videography experience
  • Must have a huge passion for social media and videography
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Creative thinker – experience managing programs and projects and a track record of implementing new ideas
  • Strong knowledge of social media trends, platforms, analytics, and online tracking and monitoring tools
  • Strong familiarity with basic video production and post-production tools, including Adobe Premiere Pro
  • An always-on, ‘get your hands dirty’ approach and flexibility to be available occasional nights and weekends for social programming and real-time content requests
  • Prior content creation and community management experience
  • Extreme enthusiasm and passion for social media, content, and community building
  • A team player who can be accountable, flexible, and work cross-functionally
  • A sense of humor and ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Experience with the real estate and/or multiple listing service industry is a HUGE plus
