Job Description Summary
The Technology Operations Strategist is a cross-functional role focused on building, managing, and improving the internal technology systems that support PrimeMLS operations. This individual serves as a key systems enabler, bridging the gap between operational needs and technical capabilities by streamlining workflows, resolving tech issues, and implementing practical automations.
This position owns the configuration and maintenance of Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, “Office” Apps., SharePoint, Teams, Admin Console, ...), provides basic tech support to staff, and ensures secure, consistent setups across devices and platforms. Reducing dependency on external IT vendors through in-house troubleshooting and support is another primary responsibility.
In addition to maintaining current systems, this role drives the evaluation and implementation of new software and hardware solutions. Responsibilities include researching options, coordinating trials, collecting staff feedback, and recommending tools and devices that are scalable, secure, and staff friendly.
Ideal candidates have a strong grasp of system integration, SSO environments, endpoint security, and automation. This role is best suited for someone who thrives when working independently and enjoys translating complex technology into clear, effective solutions for operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Workflow Optimization & Automation
- Evaluate internal workflows by sitting with staff to identify inefficiencies and friction points
- Build custom automations and low-code solutions
- Document and standardize processes, SOPs, and internal tech training
Systems Integration & Lifecycle Management
- Configure, integrate, and manage third-party tools and systems
- Lead software implementation cycles including product research, vendor management, onboarding, and team enablement
- Ensure tools are aligned with operational needs and security standards
Internal Tech Support & Onboarding
- Set up and provision staff computers and software (Windows/macOS)
- Handle everyday tech issues (e.g., password resets, audio/video, printer configuration, ...)
- Maintain security protocols including but not limited to MFA, device encryption, endpoint protection
Administration & Technical Liaison
- Microsoft 365 administration including licenses, storage, mail flow, and user permissions
- Act as liaison between staff and IT vendors or developers as needed
- Support domain/email authentication and monitor email security protocols
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years in IT systems, digital operations, or business systems analyst roles
- Expert-level experience in Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Power Automate, Teams, Admin Console)
- Exposure to Operational Technology systems (e.g., Freshdesk, QuickBooks, Paychex, ...)
- Familiarity with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC protocols and tools like PowerDMARC
- Strong knowledge of SSO integrations, system-to-system workflows, and API-based tools
- Experience consolidating internal tech systems
- Experience overseeing software product lifecycles and vendor implementations
- High proficiency with endpoint security, device provisioning, and system hardening
- Confident working independently, balancing high-priority tasks and long-term projects
- Exceptional communicator able to teach, coach, and translate tech across all levels
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent education and/or work experience.
Bonus/Preferred Qualifications
- Background in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) industry or real estate related technology platforms (Paragon, Relevate, Flex)
- Light scripting, coding or workflow experience (PowerShell, Zapier, Python, etc.)
- Experience with process mapping tools like Lucidchart, Visio, or Miro
- AI curiosity or hands-on experience with AI tools for productivity or automation

This is an hourly, non-exempt position with a starting pay range of $40-48 per hour commensurate with experience.
